ISO 14001:2015 – Environmental Management Systems Certification

Global environmental issues have always been one of the major concerns for mankind. Some of these environmental issues have worsened with time, and have shown great impact on human. Examples of some environmental issues include:
•  Global warming;
•  Air pollution;
•  Water pollution;
•  Unsustainable waste generation;
•  Climate change.

As an organisation, Mirador Building Contractor Pte Ltd hopes to carry out our business in a responsible manner, with minimum impact on the environment. In order to show the company’s commitment, an environmental management system was adopted into the company’s business. Since then, the company has introduced procedures to manage our operations while ensuring sustainability. Some examples include procedure for proper management of waste generated by the operations, procedure for recycling of different type of waste, procedure for selection of equipment and material that are environmental friendly and procedure for energy and water conservation.

In July 2021, a certification body was engaged by the company to conduct an external audit on the environmental management system implemented by Mirador building Contractor Pte Ltd in accordance with the requirements specify by the ISO 14001:2015 – Environmental Management Systems. The company managed to clear both the stage 1 and stage 2 external audits. In August 2021, Mirador Building Contractor Pte Ltd was certified with the ISO 14001:2015 accredited by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS).

Moving forward, the company will continue to review our existing processes and procedures, in line with the latest environmental regulations, guidelines and best practices. We will also adopt new technology whenever possible, in a bid to further reduce the impact on the environment from our business.
